Inclusive Design is committed to creating places that give people the best possible chance of thriving, now and in the future. Inclusive Design provides urban and landscape design services to community groups, government agencies, housing providers, councils, development agencies and developers who share this goal and recognise the importance of good design in creating great places.

Inclusive Design is committed to creating places that are safe, inspiring, beautiful and that provide people with the qualities and opportunities they require to meet their needs.

We understand the real change needed to fulfil this aspiration requires solutions that are creative, broadly supported and achievable. This calls for careful and respectful understanding of the resources and vision of the client and the needs and values of the people who will experience the place and then applying creativity to the challenges that emerge. We further understand that if the changes are to be beneficial they need to be based on an in depth understanding of social, economic and ecological responsibility.

In the past, the time, level of skill and experience necessary to access good urban design advice has made it prohibitive for many.The business model adopted by Inclusive Design aims to change this. The practice combines a high level of experience with a low charge out rate. It offers the 20 plus years of experience of the Principal, Jenny Donovan, in the public, private and community sectors with lower overheads and a simpler structure than can be found in more corporate practices.This means that Inclusive Design can offer affordable services and a more flexible approach than is typically possible with other practices.

This site is under construction. When it is completed it will provide not just a source of information about Inclusive Design but also a resource for all those who care about our towns and cities, the people who inhabit them and good urban design.
